MARIASELTING.SE
DO. CONNECT. CATALYSE.
I learned it when moving to the other side of the world with no job and no savings. I capitalised on it when being part of starting a code camp for 100 women in Barcelona. I refined it in the ever changing tech industry.
I'm the glue putting things together. Getting things done makes me tick. Connecting people gives me a kick.

WHAT I GET DONE
Finding creative ways to get things to happen
What I Do. Currently I'm a Marketing Intelligence Lead at the fast-growing Swedish fintech company iZettle, focusing on increasing commercial efficiency through data, insights and optimisation. Stuff I've done includes go to market strategy, pricing, growth strategies, PR, finance and business/product development.
What I Connect. Whether it is professionally or privately, my mind is always busy connecting the dots. What really drives me is to see how all different areas fit into the bigger picture and getting an idea to fall into place. Like pieces of lego making up a castle.
What I Catalyse. I like to be the first brick in the Domino game. Whether it is starting up a brand new team from scratch, planting an idea or starting up a code camp for 100 women. I once heard at a conference "Don't try to change the world, change your world". My world happen to be in tech, growth and PR.
Got an idea? Drop me a line!
SOME STUFF I GOT DONE
A blast from the past
100 TJEJER KODAR
Me and four other women decided to organise a code camp for 100 female professionals - in Barcelona. With no resources, I helped kick-starting the project by using PR as a launch method. Resulted in features on the morning news, newspapers, radio, lifestyle magazines etc.

BUILT AN INTELLIGENCE TEAM
After two years in commercial management, product development and market research at iZettle I built up my own Marketing Intelligence team from scratch. Recruiting three data and CRO experts from all over the world, I built up a new data engine within the marketing team.
IZETTLE E-COMMERCE
During my role as a Business Manager, me, two user researchers and an analyst looked into how to go to market with e-commerce. Half a year later, the company launched an e-commerce solution in line with the recommendations from our work.

HUNDRAKLAPPEN
As a Communication Manager for the fintech startup Advisa, I managed the Christmas campaign Hundraklappen featured across all large news distributors (the morning news show, newspapers, TT etc). It was later nominated to the “Best PR-campaign of the Year” by Spinn.
MILAN DESIGN WEEK
When I worked for the design startup BAUX I coordinated our exhibition in Milan Furniture Fair - the biggest trade fair of its kind in the world. At the event our visitors had the chance to enter a virtual reality filled with BAUX designs by trying out our Oculus Rift.

$10K BUSINESS & TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP
For the global co-living and remote professional community WiFi Tribe I managed the PR campaign for their biggest initiative to date - a Travel & Business Scale-Up Scholarship for freelancers worth $10k. This was a side passion project fuelling the future of work movement.

ADVISOR AND LECTURER
During my free time I volunteer as an advisor for the non-profit organisation Reach for Change who support social entrepreneurs wanting to create a better world for kids. I've been contributing to the organisation as an advisor, expert panelist and as a Power Hour lecturer.
